Viva Las Vegas!

Today is the last day of our stay in Last Vegas,we have to return home tomorrow, we take away countless memories, all the wonderful people we met and friends we made ,this trip was the best ever from the first day in Quartzsite AZ, all very impressive a lot to reflect upon for the next while,

Vegas is bigger than life it cater to all fantasies it is a make believe world , where all is and none is real, it is definitively an experience.

We visited the strip many times but we did get to see only a small portion of it......oh well next time.

We manage to see 4  great shows including the Cirque du soleil big production "KA"

Paris ,Venice and Caesars it's all here. 47 millions visitors a year.

Boulder Beach,Lake Mead & Hoover Dam.

On our way to Vegas we stop at Boulder Beach Nevada on Lake Meed what a site!it would take me weeks to describe it, the camp site is so spacious and comfortable, for $10.00 a day you get all of what nature has to offer and more.We are still here , we are going to Vegas tomorrow.

We allow our-self the luxury of a short 90 minutes narrated cruise on Lake Mead on-board the Desert Princess, this ship was made especially for this type of cruise, it was so delightful and insightful.

Through the black canyon ......most visually rewarding!

On Friday we took a self tour of Hoover Dam, on this next photo we see the new bridge  over the Dam, we walk the full length of it.

The Hover Dam is bigger than life, a marvel of engineering and considering that it was completed in 1934, surely the best of the best of its time.

I have to leave you with an other out of this world sunset!

Davis camp, Route 66, Oatman

In Bullhead City Arizona we decided to settle in Davis Camp a State park on the Colorado River, it was pretty and quiet, very warm and sunny weather just like in the movies and across th river from us is California.

We went for an afternoon drive on the legendary Route 66, for 40 miles leading us to Oatman. It was an unforgettable ride trough the tortuous road and spectacular scenery, a great natural wonder.

A little souvenir shop near the summit.

Oatman Arizona, a glimpse of what it was like to live in the 1800 in a mining town, well worth the trip.

While in Davis Camp we were fortunate to meet Claudia and Jim, a kind and generous couple from Colorado, Jim solve an electrical problem we had with our solar system, and the next day we joined them on their site for a BBQ dinner and a great social evening.

Hopefully we will get to spend more time with them  upon our return next winter.

So today were are on our way to Lake Mead for a few days and onto Las Vegas.

Some place north of Havasu City

We arrive here five days ago, great spot.... we were blessed with gorgeous sunshine, light warm win and scenery to die for, we were all alone in this little paradise.

By the way if you need parts for your RV's the folks at RV-Mart in Lake Havasu are courteous and knowledgeable especially Casandra, she is totally dedicated to costumer services, we needed a small part for one of our RV vent and she got right on it for us with a smile.

Tomorrow were heading to Bullhead City, people are telling us that it is a must see, so we are looking forward to spend a few days there, new place, new challenge, part of the adventure.

Can't leave you without sharing this evening out of this world sunset!
