Oasis in the desert!

We are back to Quartzsite from Yuma and a short step into Mexico. While in the Yuma area we stayed at Imperial Dam LTV, interesting place with plenty of services, beautiful lake and unmatch scenery.

Of course there plenty of military stuff to look at, while traveling to Yuma on road S24 we saw many date-palm farms and vegetable farming in a grand scale, allways a big wonder to us how large those farms are.
Tomorrow we are heading to Lake Havasu for a few days and Bullhead City after that, looking forward to the new sites.

Friends,The big tent,Evening Fire,Sunset on the mountain!

On my last post I mentioned the visit from one of our Hope neighbor , Trudy took this picture off us three old man "from left to right"Art-Richard-Frederick!

The famous big tent, loads of merchandise offered for RV's, Home's, Boat, name it they got it. A giant BBQ set up one of many, below a crowed of shoppers, busy, busy, busy.

After a day of running around we were so lucky it was a calm evening, enabling us to have a camp fire, our first in the desert, we had to take pictures. It was also a great opportunities to gaze at the stars, here we get clear sky's most night.

And look at the gorgeous sunset reflecting on the mountains! It is divine,

Laundry,Solar & great Sunset.

Being in the desert in the middle of no-were ordinary events brings back memories of my youth, this makeshift clothesline, was sort of a nostalgic fantasies of seeing it again for the first time.

In the desert the quest for reliable energies to power our toys is a challenge so we did our first timid plunge into tapping the sun's energies  ,in a few short minutes of basic solar panel and battery's installation, our telephones, computers and television came alive.....Fantastic!

In our world here in the Arizona desert we are blessed with the sun as an energy source and daily spectacle of infinite  endless beauty and power

There you have it ,an other small slice of our life in Arizona.

Our New Home

So we are now settle at our new location at La Posa West,we have so much space

as you can see our back yard is immense....and freshly landscape.

and our front yard is even bigger  with a view of the mountains, witch at sunset yesterday were a pink color.....one as to see it to be-leave it, it seem that everyday the mountains are of a different color.

We even have our own Burning Bush, so far we are trill with the view and the quietness, is inspiring.

We even found a new ride for Frederick nearby (Wishful thinking) at the price of gas here today $2.21 a gallon, this 1950's Cadillac could be affordable!

Life is good !
